Ride along with Portland pro at Tour of Georgia

The Tour of Georgia is the biggest professional bike race in North America. The six stage race draws the top teams and cyclists in the world. Among them is Portland’s very own Doug Ollerenshaw, a member of the Health-Net Maxxis team.
A few months ago I rode along with Doug on a training ride around Sauvie Island. Now, due to the wonders of his new GPS-enabled cycling computer, we can all ride along with him at the Tour of Georgia. Check out this link for a list of rides (including a recent training ride up on Skyline Blvd.) and click around to view all sorts of neat information including his heart rate and elevation charts.
If you’ve downloaded Google Earth, you can even export the ride data and have it overlayed with a 3-D, aerial photo of the route! It’s the next best thing to being there.

Thanks for the link, Jonathan. This race is hard, very hard. The upside is that James Brown was at the start this morning in Augusta, and I ate a popsicle during today's stage. So, things aren't all bad. I'll be posting at my site, www.dougollerenshaw.com all week long. And the GPS files will be up all week, too. If you look closely at today's file, you can spot a few distinct points where I darn near keeled over dead.

Where's the "Deliver electric shock" button if, in reviewing the heart rate or speed data, I don't think Doug's riding hard enough and needs some encouragement?
