In just a few short years Ayleen Crotty’s Filmed by Bike event has gone from a quaint little bike movie get together, to a full-blown film festival.

Part of the fun is that she chooses folks from the community to serve on the official jury. I did it a few years ago and it was really cool. We got a sneak peek at all the films, helped with final selections, and got a nice shout out in the official event program.

Ayleen has just announced that nominations for this illustrious jury are open. Here’s the official word:

    Deadline – January 1, 2008

The Filmed by Bike jury is charged with the duty of watching tons of bike-themed movie shorts in an attempt to select the very best to be screened at the annual festival.

    HOW TO NOMINATE
Send an e-mail answering the following questions to info [at] FilmedByBike.org.
    1) Name of the person you are nominating
    2) E-mail address and phone number – required – of the person you are nominating
    3) Why should this person be on the jury?

    WHAT THEY GET
Aside from the fame and prestige that comes from being esteemed jury members, they also get two free passes to the event and a fistful of beer tickets. There are some other little cool perks too.
