Portlanders rally to attend forum on Timberline MTB park

Many Portlanders are headed up to Mt. Hood later today to attend a public form on the proposed Timberline MTB Park. As we reported last week, the project in its final comment period and the Forest Service is looking for feedback on their Preliminary Assessment of the project.

Local advocacy group, the Northwest Trail Alliance is urging their members to attend the forum to show their support of the project and two local bike shops — Bike Gallery and Fat Tire Farm — are organizing carpools to the event.

As per their Facebook page, carpools will be leaving the Bike Gallery store at 10950 SE Division at 3:15 pm. Portland’s mountain bike specialty store, Fat Tire Farm (2714 NW Thurman), will be loading up cars starting at 3:00 pm.

The open house begins at 4:00 pm at the Zig Zag Ranger District Headquarters (70220 E Highway 26). Learn more about the project here.

There will be an open house on the project on March 17th, 4:00 pm at the Zig Zag Ranger District Headquarters.
