New bike shop in North Portland!

What do you do when it’s 10:30PM and you get word that a cool new bike shop has opened up just 3 blocks from your house? You grab your camera, get on your bike and check it out! So here they are, first photos of Revolver Bicycle Living, a new bike shop on N. Interstate and N. Portland Blvds…just 3 friggin’ blocks from the BikePortland.org undergound lair.
From my lurking in the window it looks like they’ll focus on solid, affordable bikes.
On the sales floor I noticed a KHS “Smoothie”, a “Hot Rod” and a few Surlys all built up.
Sorry if I sound excited, but I am. This is such great news I can barely type. We are in dire need of a neighborhood bike shop and this one looks very promising. I look forward to checking this place out a little more closely tomorrow.

I went by there the other night about 7:30 after the owner had already locked up and he let me in to check it out. His name is Mark, super-nice guy, go check it out!

New photos of the shop and of Mark here. By the way, in addition to KHS and Surly, he'll be selling Breezer city bikes.

Awesome location for bicycle commuters in NoPo! Mark Pickett, the owner, has many years of experience in bicycle building, bicycle repair, bicycle sales, shop management AND bicycle living. Drop in as soon as possible!

Things are really looking up in NoPo. When I first moved to the area almost 7 years ago now, people thought I was crazy. But now, you'd be crazy NOT to live there. With the opening of this bike shop, the neighborhood is complete! I look forward to testing one of those Breezers...

It's almost a year since Jonathan posted about this shop but I do want to say that Revolver is going strong.
I needed some special cranks, Revolver Bikes went out of their way to get the exact cranks I needed, get them quickly and even installed them for free!
I'm stoked to have a great small bike shop so close to me!
