Rear view mirrors for bikes are not cool…

glasses_mirror_salzberg

…unless they’re made by local biker and musician, Ben Salzberg. He makes these ingenious rear-view mirrors from spokes and beer bottle caps. Usually he just makes them for friends, but because he’s such a nice guy he’s agreed to make a bunch and bring them to tomorrow’s BikeCraft Faire. They’re the perfect gift for the stylish yet safe biker on your list.

Yes! By all means, buy them from Dick. They are a pain to make, and I only do it \’cause people ask me for them all the time. I\’ll be making another batch RSN, but mine are definitely very different from Dick\’s — his are better suited to the glasses mount, for sure. I use a spoke for the wire, which is heavier and harder to bend.

So glad to see he has a working website now — I\’ll refer people there .
