I first brought you the news about original, Dutch Batavus bikes potentially coming to the U.S. market back in October. I had received spy photos of them from my correspondents at the Interbike trade show in Las Vegas.
Yesterday at the Multnomah Athletic Club, about fifty members of the Portland Ambassadors (a business development organization partnered closely with the Portland Development Commission) attended a forum to learn more about our local bicycle industry. They heard from a broad range of perspectives about how bicycles play an increasingly significant role in our region’s economy.
Nike’s $300 Lance 10//2 cycling shoe. Earlier this morning, I reported that Nike (whose world headquarters are just a few miles from Portland) had “dropped” their entire line of cycling gear and clothing.
