I was included in an email forward today that linked to an interesting device called a “bicycle barometer” recently installed in Italy. The story and photos were posted to a website that covers urban transport and mobility in Europe.

On Capitol Hill, the House offices and the Senate offices are on separate sides of the Capitol building. The distance between the two is about 1/2 a mile. That’s not much, but when you’ve got a full day of meetings, tired feet, and not much time to spare, it’s nice to get a lift.
Jerry Norquist makes his case. House Congressional Representatives Peter DeFazio (D-OR) and John Duncan (R-TN) held a special roundtable hearing on Capitol Hill today. The topic was bicycle tourism. DeFazio is the Chair and Duncan is the Ranking Member of the House Transportation Subcommittee on Highways and Transit.
