Volunteer coordinators needed for Sunday Parkways

PDOT’s big Sunday Parkways event is less than a month away. To help with the hundreds of volunteers, they’re looking to hire a few coordinators to manage them. See the announcement below for more info and how to apply:

Job Announcement – Sunday Parkways Short Term Volunteer Coordinators

The City of Portland Transportation Options is looking for 4 coordinators short term from June 11 to June 24 to help train and manage volunteers for our June 22nd Sunday Parkways event. Volunteers will be stationed along a six mile Sunday Parkways route at intersections directing traffic to detours and escorting cars to their driveways. We need self-starters, motivated people who have some experience working with volunteers and/or events. Must be able to ride your own or one of our bicycles to monitor volunteers along the route on the day of the event.

The 80 hours are scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, June 11 through Friday, June 13, 9am to 5:30pm

Saturday, June 14th, 9am to 1pm

Tuesday, June 17th, 12:30pm to 9:00pm

Wednesday, June 18 through Friday, June 20 from 9am to 5:30pm

Saturday, June 21st, 9am to 1pm

Sunday, June 22nd, 6:30am to 3pm.

Tuesday, June 24th, 9am to 5:30pm
