Some nice PR from across the pond

My friend John Climaldi shared some great news yesterday. British bike mag Cycling Plus has chosen this little ‘ol site as their “Website of the Month.”
I know this is pretty shameless promotion, but it’s an exciting bit of PR for BikePortland and I wanted to share it with all of you. Here’s the scan of the review:

I’d love to say they just stumbled across my site randomly, but I have to admit that I met one of their staffers, Neil Pedoe, at this year’s Cycle Oregon. Here’s a shot of Neil I snapped on our climb up to Timothy Lake Anthony Lakes on Day 4. Cheers Neil!

Congrats Jonathan!!! That's the kind of PR I like to see. I get excited every time you get press because it means more readers, more input, and the better chance that your sight will be around for a long time. Thanks again to you (and Julie!) for all the hard work.

Hey Jonathan!
I think website of the year might be more appropriate! There are a lot of sites out there dealing with bicycling but most seem to have a bias towards their own agendas.
I love the diversity here. Everything from corporate wheelings and dealings to zoo bombings to po-po shennanigans. It's not shameless promotion, its taking pride in your work. Keep it happening!

c'mon Johnathan, ever since our chat at Tour De Fat 2005, the cycling community has finally found their 'one stop shopping' place to go for all things bikey in PDX. Yer doing a great job, we all appreciate it! PUMP certainly does, too.

Cycling Plus is a worthy magazine and this may be a good excuse for some Portlanders to sample it. Usually available at Borders; the Vancouver, downtown, and Bridgeport stores stock it.
