New location for Seven Corners Cycles

Word on the street is that Seven Corners Cycles has moved from 2314 SE Division to a much a larger space at 3218 SE 21st (near People’s Food Co-op).
Long-time customer Aaron Tarfman stopped by to check out the new space and chat with shop owner Corey Cartwright:
“He’s got three times the space and a huge amount of daylight…he’s thrilled with his new spot. There’s plenty of space for more bikes and Corey’s warm-hearted smile greets each and every customer. I’ve long been a fan of Corey both because he’s so amicable, but he has also been very supportive of the Community Exchange Bike School.
I personally feel that this was a smart move because the unfriendliness of Division keeps cyclists away, whereas SE 21st is extremely bike-friendly and the traffic to People’s Coop should bring him a lot of business. So check out his new space and support a wonderful local business.”

Congratulations, Corey! It's good to hear one of the best little bike shops in Portland needs some growing room. Keep up the hard work and keep those smiles coming!

[...] “King Cycle Expands Offerings with Long-Awaited Wheelsets” The Portland-based manufacturer is now (once again) offering pre-built wheels. They’re only available in pink and proceeds go to breast cancer research. Wheelsets will sell for $700-800 and will be built at their factory in Northwest Portland. The story ends with a mysterious reference saying, “King will introduce another product soon.” “Seven Corners Moves; Increases Inventory” A nice story about Corey Cartwright moving his popular Southeast Portland bike shop to a larger location (from 900 to 3,400 sq. ft.). I reported this a few weeks ago, but the story in BRAIN is much better and has some nice quotes from Corey including this one, “The fixed gear thing, it’s rampant…it’s become a status thing, but it’s practical in the rainy wet climate.” [...]

Hey, thanks for screwing up my road bike Corey. Hint, next time you replace a crank on someone's road bike, tighten the srews. Replacing drivetrain components after 300 miles is fun!! "Yeah Yeah, right on!" Not really.

Hey Corey,
I don't expect you're the artistic young man who used to work at Braum's Leather in Berkeley, but Braum and I always had a lot of respect for you, if you are, in fact, that Corey, and wondered what became of you.
It would be nice to think of you running your own business, and a bike shop would certainly be terrific.
All the best to you,
Mary
