Rear view mirrors for bikes are not cool…

…unless they’re made by local biker and musician, Ben Salzberg. He makes these ingenious rear-view mirrors from spokes and beer bottle caps. Usually he just makes them for friends, but because he’s such a nice guy he’s agreed to make a bunch and bring them to tomorrow’s BikeCraft Faire. They’re the perfect gift for the stylish yet safe biker on your list.

    I met a guy on OBR years ago who makes the beerview mirrors. His name is Dick Bird. Here is web link where you can order them:

    Beer view mirrors have been around for at least 5 yrs now, just send Dick Bird your favorite beer cap. Its about a 2 week return

    Yes! By all means, buy them from Dick. They are a pain to make, and I only do it 'cause people ask me for them all the time. I'll be making another batch RSN, but mine are definitely very different from Dick's --- his are better suited to the glasses mount, for sure. I use a spoke for the wire, which is heavier and harder to bend.

    So glad to see he has a working website now --- I'll refer people there .
