Bikey L.A. band will ride to Portland show

[Coming to Portland]

The “eclectic folk-pop” duo The Ditty Bops just announced their cross country tour. But instead of a tour bus, these ladies will go by bike and according to the official press release they plan to make a stop in Portland.

No confirmed date or venue, but I think someone should contact their manager and get the Sprockettes and Show Me The Pink to open up for them.

Hear an interview and listen to some Ditty Bop clips from this NPR story back in July.

…might like this stanza from The Ditty Bops’ “Walk or Ride”:
“But I’m feeling quite confuse by the people who refuse to see
A simple way of life don’t make you the looser
They say we won’t make it far if we don’t get there by car
But we’ll be there with time to spare and find our own way home.”

Cool gals – bikes and music – it doesn’t get any better!

Yeah, hot calendars for sure. You can buy a Sprockettes Calendar online for only $7 (including shipping) or find them at bike shops around town.
