CCC’s damaged mural good as new

Repairs to the mural on the west side of the Community Cycling Center (NE Alberta and 17th) have been completed.
Back in December, a pickup truck accidentally backed into the mural on the wall, damaging the painting as well as the CCC’s offices on the other side (which have also been repaired).
I swung by the mural yesterday and snapped a few photos. I love this mural and it’s great to see it returned to its former glory…
This is where the impact occured.

Yay! I was so sad about that and I'm thrilled to see it repaired. I'm on Alberta right now--will have to go by and see it on my way home.

Awesome - glad to see it back and looking fine, and so glad no one was injured when the collision originally occurred.

Yay! We're so happy to see the mural repaired, too. Many thanks to art team who finished up right as summer slipped away.
For those who wonder about how the "truck incident" wrapped up, we got support from lots of people and grants from Meyer Memorial Trust and Cycle Oregon to help us move our office out of the bike shop. This had been a long-term goal made an urgent one when the accident happened.
We moved in April and then we had the craziest/busiest summer ever, like all other bike organizations in town.
We are now almost entirely settled into the Heritage Building on MLK. Our programs, volunteers, and admin teams are here. The bike shop got more breathing room when we moved out, making better room for volunteers, classes, mechanics, and the retail shop.
Thanks to everyone who helped out in so many ways, from friendly calls to skilled hands.
