Hook up with a neighbor for a ride to Earth Day
Posted by Jonathan Maus (Editor) on April 17th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Earth Day is this Saturday at Overlook Park in North Portland (right on the Interstate MAX line).
To help make it easier and more fun to get their by bike, City Repair (the non-profit group that organizes Earth Day) and a group of volunteers have organized rides from 14 locations throughout the city that will converge on the park. All the rides will have guides and there’s even a nifty map (below) to help you find where they all start.
All rides leave at 11:00am (see ride map below).

Shame about the impending weather doom the forecasters are predicting. Maybe positive vibes can burn off the weather.

I was tricked, I thought it was going to be a thread about "hooking up" with a neighbor for a ride to Earth Day for some Organic Love? When will the sunshine come?

Last year the weather was soggy too and the celebration still went on and was awesome at Woodlawn! Don't let that liquid sunshine keep you from this great event!

Hey quick correction. The bike rides are organized mainly through BTA with some help from Exchange Cycle Tours. Also that wonderful Jeff Smith created the Bike-Earthday map

Hey all,
If you attended Earth Day at Overlook Park and danced like a dinosaur, I would love to see your pictures or video. Here are a few links I've received so far...
