Work starts on Share the Road mural

After months of gathering community feedback (which included a mural tour by bike), and jumping through a few hoops for the permit, paint is finally flowing on the new Share the Road mural. This new mural is being painted on the side of the Hawthorne Auto Clinic (4307 SE Hawthorne).
Sara Stout, the lead artist on the project, is happy to finally be painting:
“The bliss of watching the color appear on the wall and greeting the inquiring neighbors - who are all totally delighted by and interested in our project - is very satisfying…especially given all the hard work leading up to this point.”
Sara loves when people stop by to watch the crew work. If you’d like to see this exciting mural take shape, stop by the Auto Clinic anytime next week from 10AM-5PM.
