Mini-bike mayhem coming to Expo Center

The Rose City Rollers (Portland’s all-female roller derby league) open their season this Saturday night at the Expo Center. But for me, the most exciting thing on the schedule has nothing to to with roller skates. I’ll be there for the “mini-bike extravaganza” planned for half-time.

What’s a mini-bike extravaganza? According to Handsome Dave (the man behind the madness) he’s putting together a half-time show that includes the Sprockettes, the Zoobombers, and the Dingo Dizmal Clownarchy.

In addition to the obvious hi-jinks that are sure to take place, the mini-bikers will be put to the ultimate test of skill and bravery when they compete in a mini-bike derby that is sure to leave everyone either wounded, victorious, or both.

I’ll be tagging along as a Sprockettes groupie. Tickets are $10 and I’ve heard it can sell out. More info here.

Great! The commercialization of Zoobomb! I can't wait for the lunchbox.
