In Utrecht a man who wanted to pass me on a bike path gently pushed me out of his way without saying a word.
They told me they were fining me for riding my bike illegally. People who visit Amsterdam often discuss the dangers people face while attempting to walk on the bike-filled streets. If Portland planners come at their upcoming pilot project with similar fervor, I think we could see the same kind of results.
Much has been made about advisory bike lanes in Portland over the last few months; and it just so happens I’m currently in the Dutch city that helped inspired them.
This subject should start making its way into popular media as much as possible.
I was blown away by the bike infrastructure in central London.
Despite challenges, the Big Apple is an invigorating city to ride in.
Some of this can simply be attributed to getting older, but I’d like to give a good deal of credit to my bicycle.
