Job Title: Marketing & Outreach Coordinator
Location: Portland, OR (On-site preferred)
Position Type: Part-Time
Compensation: $25/hour with increase after 6 months
Hours: 25–30 hrs/week; Wednesday-Saturday

Position Overview
The Marketing & Outreach Coordinator is a dynamic, front-facing role that combines digital media management with customer service and strategic brand promotion. You’ll be the lead voice behind our social media and marketing efforts, help us tell compelling stories through video, and build strong relationships with customers, partners, and the broader community. This role also supports our adaptive mobility outreach and helps coordinate our upcoming Kickstarter launch and product reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Media (Primary Focus)
Lead and manage all social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, etc.)
Plan and produce brand-forward content, including short videos, rider features, and “How-To” tutorials
Edit video and photo content for cross-platform publishing
Oversee advertising campaigns and analytics
Build brand visibility and audience engagement
Help coordinate product reviewers and influencers for our upcoming bike launch
Join us for community bike rides and events
Customer Service & Communication
Greet and engage with customers; act as a welcoming face of the shop
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails with professionalism and clarity
Manage scheduling for conversions, repairs, product demos, consultations, and test rides
Assist mechanics with simple or more complex repairs
Comfortably pivot between assisting customers in person and managing digital outreach and branding projects during the work day
Community Engagement & Partnerships
Communicate with local organizations, nonprofits, and community partners (especially around adaptive cycling and PCEF-related outreach)
Support coordination of public-facing events, including tabling, demos, and group rides
Maintain relationships with partners and advocacy groups
Kickstarter & Brand Launch Support
Assist in campaign planning and promotional scheduling
Help identify and reach out to potential media reviewers and partner brands
Coordinate logistics for getting prototype bikes into reviewers’ hands
Shop & Team Support
Assist with digital tools, IT troubleshooting, and backend systems
Collaborate with team members on special projects and day-to-day shop needs
Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with social media platforms and basic video/photo editing software
Comfortable with digital tools (email marketing, Canva, Google Drive, etc.)
Organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple projects at once
Passion for sustainable transportation, adaptive cycling, or community empowerment
Bicycle mechanic skills preferred
Bonus: Experience with Kickstarter, SEO, or nonprofit/community engagement
