No matter where you like to shred, The Lumberyard has you covered.
Portland’s beloved indoor bike park has inked a deal with Timberline Ski Area to give season pass holders discounts at both facilities. It goes both ways: If you’re a member of the Lumberyard you can now get 15 percent off your midweek lift tickets at Timberline; and if you are a season or annual pass member at Timberline, you can get a 15 percent off admission and bike rentals at The Lumberyard
If you’ve followed our coverage of The Lumberyard since they opened back in 2012, this news won’t come as a surprise. The company’s founders, Will Heiberg and Michael Whitesel, have modeled their ticketing plans on ski areas since the beginning.
In a press release about the new plan, The Lumberyard points out that the discounts are not valid during the peak dates of 12/19, 1/4, 1/16-1/18, and 2/13-2/15.

Since opening in 2012, The Lumberyard has expanded their facility (which is housed in a former bowling alley on NE 82nd Ave) and now offers 66,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor riding lines and jumps. They’ve also got year-round camps and after-school programs in addition to private classes and a variety of clinics.
Head over to 2700 NE 82nd and check them out. Oh, and did we mention they’ve got a full restaurant and bar? Learn more at LumberyardMTB.com.

I wonder if this gives them priority when/if the Timberline bike park is every built?
You can bet that when/if the Timberline Bike Park opens Lumberyard will have a close and strong partnership with them. I think they might even build a tramway from 82nd to Mt. Hood. 😉
The Lumberyard is just getting better and better. My son has taken classes in their after school shred academy and has made a lot of progress. He will be taking the next level starting in January. The instructors are all top notch and encourage fun above all. We both rode there this week and the pizza place is now open, too. Congrats to the LY for all of the progress they have made. You are a huge asset to our cycling community!
