ODOT has released a survey to find out if shuttle users want them to add a later night service on Saturday and Sunday. ODOT has been operating a shuttle for bikers and walkers since construction began.
Here’s more from ODOT rep Susan Hanson:
“We are trying to decide if there is sufficient need to add later night service on Saturday and Sunday between 8 -11 p.m.

The Oregonian reports today that yet another arm of Portland’s local bike economy is alive and well: Athletepath, a software startup that launched this past February, has received $300,000 from investors.
The company was founded by Portland resident and bike racer David Embree as a tool to offer race participants more — and more interesting — ways to interact with their results. Athletepath’s first race results partner was the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association and their first event customer was the Portland Triathlon.
As I was out riding this morning I passed by what is unfortunately a common sight in Tigard: landscaping trucks blocking the bike lane on Durham Road. What made today’s incident different was that a Tigard Police car was sitting almost directly across the road from where the trucks were illegally parked.
Bicycle Retailer & Industry News is reporting that Velo Cult, a well-known bike shop based in San Diego, California, plans to relocate to Portland by mid-January:
“Boyer has narrowed his location search to two spaces in Portland that are four to five times the 1,200 square feet he has been operating out of in Southern California. The extra room will allow for a broader product line, adding more cyclocross, 29er and steel road bikes to Velo Cult’s touring, commuter and randonneuring offerings.
The shop, which opened as Velo Culture in 2006, will also increase its already heavy emphasis on cycling culture, such as art and events, noted Boyer. “We’re pretty much a Portland store in the wrong city. We’re very commuter-oriented, very city-oriented,” he said.”
