Locked Up: Santa’s sleigh bike on N Mississippi

A santa hat, garland, wreath, tree, and even a flag with a snowball attached!

The latest edition of Locked Up should get everyone in the holiday spirit (if you aren’t already).

While hanging out on N. Mississippi Avenue over the weekend I came across a well-decorated rig that went to great lengths to celebrate the season.

It had a big glittery wreath hanging on the handlebars and golden stars on the fenders…

And a holiday tree on the rear rack…

If you attached a big trailer it could even be used to deliver presents. And hey, is that a Santa hat attached to the helmet? Maybe it belongs to St. Nick himself…

Usually I’ll feature actual bikes — not just decorations — with this column; but in this case I figured it was O.K. to make an exception. Happy Holidays!
