If you are planning on attending the Cape Lookout trip, please check http://www.cyclewild.org for the latest updates – the weather isn’t looking the greatest, so there is a small possibility that the trip destination may change to something closer in.

Prepare for rain – the forecast is showers and some rain – 80% chance on Sat, 70% on Sun, 60% on Labor Day, temperatures in the high 50s throughout the weekend. Oregon weather is back in time for the holiday, dress appropriately!

CarFree Vancouver? Awesome. Reverend Phil Says Main St. will be carfree between 6th and 11th.

I’m guessing this is at least loosely in conjunction with First Friday art walk.

Up the road on 23rd is some live music starting at 7:30 and Raising Arizona shown outdoors at 8:45.

Lester you are correct. The carfree event is a part of Vancouver’s monthly ‘First Friday’ art and music event.

A special for you BikePortland readers…there will be valet style group bike parking in the street near the Angst Gallery (1015 Main St.) courtesy of Bike Me! Vancouver. Just mention the code word: ‘Lammy’.

And the movie sounds like the Uptown Movie Nites on Main at 23rd St. Bring a blanket for the movie – there is usually pop corn and other treats (shaved ice) as a neighborhood association fundraiser.

There is also a lot of music near by too – Brickhouse (old 15th St pub), Pop Culture (old Moxies – all ages?), Tommy O’s, etc.

——————————-

And for anyone running late or misses the Rev’s route guidance…this event is only 15 bike minutes over the bridge from the Expo MAX station.

And the #4 C-TRAN bus will take you back to the MAX until 12.30AM if you need it.

@2: No, that’s a grotesk akzident. Full of holes, one might say.

The Tualatin Hills Park & Rec 100k ride out to Stub Stewart last weekend went through the region southwest of Helvetia. Beautiful country and obviously valuable agriculturally. Check it out. Plus, from their description, New Seasons Orenco is having its BTA BBQ benefit on Saturday, so you can hit it after the ride.
