Last Thursday: Carfree Alberta and a special bike event

The Sprockettes in Davis-27.jpg

One of my photos from an exhibition
that will open Thursday night at
The Breeze Block Gallery.

I hope you haven’t made plans for this Thursday night.

Besides the usual fun of Last Thursday on Alberta, this month’s event will be officially carfree (more on that later). But if that’s not enough to get out there, also this month is a very special bike and art event being hosted by the Breeze Block Gallery (at NE 10th and Alberta).

The Sprockettes-themed event will include:

It’s going to be a great night of art, craft and bike fun. It all starts at 7:00 at 1101 NE Alberta this Thursday (8/28)…I hope you can join us!

And one more thing, if you do come out, please remember two things; go home (or just chill out) by 10:00 and don’t bring any open containers.

According to the Shift list, they are still looking for volunteers to make this happen…

Thursday\’s blow sked wise for me, neighbor, so I don\’t think I\’ll make it.

But is this by any chance your first \”opening\”?

To me, your eye and your implementation of its vision get better by the day.

Anyway, have a good show.

\”But is this by any chance your first \”opening\”?\”

hey Donald,

yep. I guess this is my first opening. Sort of curious how it will go, but it\’s very cool to see my photos made into real prints!

I\’ve been staring at my photos on a computer screen only for years and I\’ve never printed them out until now.

And by the way, all the prints I show will be available for sale either framed as they are or print only. Come to the show for prices and more details…

@4

I went the other way…

After years of only seeing my work in prints, I was reborn as a photographer when I started working with them on a nice computer screen.

Sad but true story from the back of the closet: \”What\’s this dad?\” \”That\’s a Leica viewfinder 35mm film camera, son. Daddy used it in the olden days to make pictures.\” \”You mean like mom does with her phone?\”

Either way, the still image continues to rock.

Are they going to be expensive, or affordable?

\”Are they going to be expensive, or affordable?\”

they\’ll be quite affordable of course.
