‘Cycle Seen’ photo show now taking submissions

Back in July I brought you news of “Cycle Seen”, an upcoming photo exhibition that will celebrate Portland’s bike culture.

Now comes word from organizers that they’ve officially began accepting submissions. Here’s they press release they sent out:

WHAT IS Cycle Seen?
Cycle Seen is an exhibition celebrating the diverse and dynamic culture of cycling/cyclists in Portland, Oregon. The exhibition will take place in June 2008, throughout metro Portland. Some Cycle Seen events such as rides to gallery locations will occur during PedalPalooza, Portland’s bike fun festival.

What we’re looking for:
This is an open call to all bike lovers (Yes, this includes Vancouver, WA) who have taken photos of bike adventures of any kind in Portland, within the last 2 years. We are looking for images of:
Bikes! (Yes), pictures from bikes, cool bikes, crazy outfits and customs & bikes, fun and crazy rides, bikes and traffic, bike signage, families on bikes, bikes errands, bike races, riding in the rain, hidden rides, bike maintenance, bike mechanics, bike builders, bike building, bike shops, bike messengers, bike crafts, bike hauling, moving by bike, bike teams, portraits of bikes culture, self-portraits w/ bikes, bike performances, bike events, bike stickers, bike gear, bike socks, bike games, bike homes, bike business, bike and coffee, bike & eating, bike education, bike safety, community bike programs, any bikes related culture you can think of in PDX…

The Deadline for Submissions is March 1st, 2008.
