I’ve been meaning to post an update about how bicycles are fairing in the the Columbia River Crossing Project.

whoohoo Hayden Island!

last time i heard them talk the Pro \”lets build a huge bridge\” guy stated that the high number of pylons (and the shadows they cast) on the current bridge makes it easy for some predators to eat fish. The new bridge would have fewer pylons and therefore more environmentally considerate.

He did not address how a bridge that is 2 or 4 times as large would cast a smaller shadow.

He was not exactly laughed out of the room for his specious argument. But I do look forward to hearing some more hilarious pro-CRC material.
