Tomorrow (4/4) is a special edition of the always interesting KBOO Bike Show. I noticed a flyer for the show in the window of Veloshop the other day…
In the style of the nationally syndicated Car Talk call-in show, Tori Bortman and Ayleen Crotty will host mechanic/personality extraordinaire Brett Flemming for “Bike Talk” (learn more about Brett in this article).
Listeners are encouraged to call in and ask Brett all those burning bike part and tech questions that are beyond the grasp of your local mechanic.
Write down this number and call in during the show, (503) 232-8818.
There are three ways you can listen in:
- Live on the radio: 90.7FM Portland, 91.9FM Hood River, 100.7FM Willamette Valley
- Live on the Internet at KBOO.fm
- Podcast at any time at BikeShow.PortlandTransport.com
Thanks for reading.

(here’s a chance to get free tickets to Filmed by Bike…)
SO, if you’ve ever listened to the show and thought it was cool there’s a show talking about bikes, we need your help.
ALSO, if you’re saving money or living on the cheap by riding a bike, we need your help.
Could you turn $5 over to KBOO? Or maybe more. Or maybe $5 a month.
KBOO really struggles to stay afloat and grow, with an ongoing need to upgrade and maintain equipment, pay the utilities, etc.
NOW IS AN EXCITING TIME! The KBOO Bike show is growing – we welcomed Carl Larson and Tori Bortman as hosts – and we need your support. Call 503/232-8818 and give whatever you can during our Spring Membership Drive.
Cause we don’t take any crap, we don’t run commercials and we’re here for you, bikers!
(There will be a few sets of Filmed by Bike tickets available to people who call in with a $40 contribution or more. that means NO waiting in line and no worrying if you’ll get in. Call tomorrow for more info.)
sweet! i was biking around just the other day with the thunking pedal sound i end up with on every bike i ride, wishing click and clack took bike questions.
That was so very very cool – thank you!!!!!
