I interrupt our regularly scheduled programming to announce the first-ever BikePortland.org benefit raffle!
This month I will give away a 2007 Raleigh One Way commuter bike. To enter, all you’ve got to do is buy a ticket for $4. All proceeds go toward maintaining and improving this site. Check out the contest page for all the details on how to enter.

If I want to buy more than one ticket how do I do that on paypal does not seem to give an option to purchase mmore than one?
thanks for pointing that out. I’ve modified the PayPal button and it will now accept multiple quantity purchases…thanks!
my tickets have been purchased. Even if I don’t win, I know I’m giving money to a site that I frequent. Awesome!
I sure hope multiple tickets count more, I noticed after I made my purchase the PAYPAL receipt doesn’t show a quantity, only a total. So…how exactly are you counting ALL my tickets? or did I just spend $20 on ‘1’?
pdxrocket,
Don’t sweat man. I’ve got you down for 5 tickets. Your name will be added 5 times. The PayPal receipt says “5” on my end so everything’s cool.
Thanks for playing!
c’mon winning ticket! i’d love to retire this beastly old mtb neutered commuter!
Does clicking on the ads help the site out, too? I’ve been trying to click a couple each time I’m on, but I’m not sure it does much.
Why’s it called a One Way if you’re commuting to and from work?
because there is only one way to ride and that’s with one speed.
*not with the raleigh marketing team
one speed scares me, but I bought anyway!
What a great idea for getting funds to the site. Thanks to Raleigh for the donation.
Next month, I suggest a Stumpjumper and a hacksaw. I’d buy a handful of tickets for that too.
Nice bike. If I win it, my legs will become tree stumps riding it up the hills on the west side where I commute from.
Fred: You could gear it down to 40 x 16 and make it up Capitol Hwy. and Terwilliger no problem.
Cool raffle, Jonathan. Any idea what its fair market value is for when the winner has to report it for income tax purposes?
