I smell desperation.

Exchange the Blazers for the Timbers, and I’m there.

Nobody’s desperate here Russell (well, I can’t speak for the Blazers). I just thought it’d be a fun thing to do and that it might get some new folks out on a ride.

Hope you decide to join us.

Let’s do this for a Beavers game once the baseball season gets underway!

Sorry, I was riffing on the Blazers recent financial woes; not Get Lit. It was tongue in cheek.

It sounds like a great idea, but I would be far more likely to make it to a Beavers or Timbers game… or the Fire or Shockwave. I’ve never been to a lacrosse game now that I think about it either. What are they, the Lumberjax?

I’ll see if my less snobby half wants to go see some sweaty tall guys. Great idea though, I hope goes well and expands to the other local teams.

I’ve been to nearly every home Blazer Game this year, by bike. I thought it would be fun for others to experience the NBA, (while you still can) Currently, it’s a sad situation regarding the Blazers, But on the court, there is alot of young, ispirational players, who really want to work hard to be a positive influence in this community. I’ve been to Hockey, the only time the fans got excited is when there was a fight, I’ve also heard Lacross has the same fighting thing going on. I can’t change what’s happening in the Blazer front office, but on the court I’ve seen alot of great competitive spirit. I invite anyone who is considering coming to Bike to Blazer Night, to take the plunge and experience Portland’s young & exciting NBA team. We beat the first place Phoenix Suns on Sunday night, probably the best game of the season. Hope you can make it, you won’t be disappointed.

I am with Russell.

Good idea.
Do it for the Beavers and def. for the Winterhawks next season, and I will def. be for it.
I just effin’ hate the blazers and will be glad when they’re gone.

this has got to be a recurring event for next year! i’m not such a fan of the warriors so i won’t be at that particular game but i would have loved the extra bike company at some of the other games i went to this season. is it just me or do other people feel kinda like aliens clicking their bike shoes down the concrete curves of the rose garden arena? it’s like people have never seen a basketball fan who is also into cycling. sheesh.

I agree etta-tron – the bike parking at the Rose Garden is atrocious! My girlfriend and I end up locking to a railing or bench every time.

I agree with Jeff too – the Blazers have been great to watch live (regardles of their front office woes).
They’ve got great young talent. They all play hard (aside from Darius Miles). I’ve been to 5 games this year and they’ve won 4 of them.

My girlfriend and I would be psyched to see a game with some other bikers.
I’ll go order some tickets.
