Event: Slide show, lecture on Dutch bicycle culture

Posted by Jonathan Maus (Editor) on September 23rd, 2008 at 9:38 pm

Just got a heads up about what looks like an interesting event coming to Reading Frenzy (921 SW Oak St.) on Thursday, October 9th at 7:00pm.

A former Portlander, now living in Amsterdam, is working on a book about Dutch bicycle culture.

Here’s the event description:

Slide Show Lecture on Dutch Bicyle Culture by Pete Jordan

Pete Jordan (Dishwasher, 2007) returns to Portland to give a slide show lecture on his book-in-progress about his life in Amsterdam as seen through the lens of Dutch bicycle culture. Pete and his lovely wife Amy Joy, both former Portland residents and Reading Frenzy staff members, have lived in Amsterdam for the past few years and recently became the proud owners of a bicycle shop! Originally this was to be his first book, but Dishwasher took precedence.

Definitely a book to look out for.

Where do I find out what time the slide show is? I couldn't find anything about it on the Reading Frenzy site.
