Looking for a team? Rides help you decide

If you’re new to Portland’s bike racing scene and you want to ride with a team, you should consider hooking up with the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association’s (OBRA) “Meet the Team” rides.
So far, eight rides are planned on consecutive Saturdays beginning with a special Ladies Ride this weekend.
OBRA’s Meet the Teams Ride coordinator Uma Kleppinger says the women-only ride will, “give unattached [without a team] riders an opportunity to speak with several coed or women-only teams and get a sense of the culture and opportunities each one provides.”
Other rides on the schedule will give would-be racers a chance to hang out and pedal with local teams like Organic Athlete, GSC United, Sorella Forte, Team Oregon, and others.
See the OBRA website for a full schedule of this year’s Meet the Team Rides.

Oh yes! Always! Although THIS ride is a little early for that sort of thing... On the other hand, "Team Coffee" doesn't really have the same ring, does it?
See you there, then!

If you're curious where OBRA teams typically ride from (they don't all ride from Kettleman's Bagels as far as I know), you should check out the OBRA Team Rides page.
Meet-up location might be a consideration if you don't want to add a ton of mileage to your weekend ride, and you don't want to drive to your team's weekly get-together.

p.s. thanks for coordinating, Uma!
