Joel Grover, head buyer for the Bike Gallery, stopped by BikePortland headquarters this afternoon to deliver my latest test bike — a Gary Fisher Simple City.
It’s a pretty basic, flat-bar townie bike. It’s got a 3-speed internal hub, rear coaster brake (front hand brake) and it weighs about 25 pounds. I shot a quick little video (below) and might have more photos and a longer review next week:
[Note: Please bear with me on the video. I’m just beginning to make them and I have a lot of improving to do. My hope is that they give you a little different experience than my usual photos. Thanks.]
Thanks for reading.

Jon,
I like the change to video. You might want to check out Current TV\’s tutorials on shooting, editing and posting video:

i have been looking all over the place for a review/test ride of this bike! i ordered one back in April and it finally arrived yesterday. i\’n used to an old Raleigh 3-speed, and wanted something similar in style but newer and lighter, the Simple City was pretty much exactly what i was looking for. it looks great and is pretty comfortable so far. people that have seen it either ask \”who\’s gary fisher\” or \”that\’s a gary fisher, i thought he made mountain bikes?\” it\’s perfect for the pretty flat streets of Buffalo, NY, where i live.
i\’m looking forward to your thoughts on this bike when you post them. thanks.
Any reviews on the ride?
