Job Description
Spend your summer promoting bike events in the Portland area! ORbike is dedicated to promoting cycling in Oregon. We provide online event registration, the state’s most comprehensive calendar of all bike events and discounted events and freebies to ORbike members. You’ll work outdoors at large events to get the word out about our great services. You’ll set up the canopy, lay out the brochures and start talking to people about how they can have a summer of fun on their bikes. This position is to sell ORbike memberships and promote cycling events, most of which are benefit rides for non-profit organizations. It is a great opportunity to connect with the public about cycling for a cause. * Great supplemental work or for students * Excellent entry into the world of communications, marketing and outreach * Training provided * $10/hour * Perfect for cycling enthusiasts * Mostly weekend mornings
