I pieced this bike together with 700c wheels, three speed handlebars, a black spring seat, silver plastic fenders, single piece crank, and both a coaster brake and a front hand brake. It is a very unique looking bike because of the color. Any lead would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Description of stolen bicycle:
Lightweight Road Bike. Handle bars are black, and curled under. The front of the frame is silver, the back is navy blue. Two sets of silver colored hand brakes are on the handle bars. There is a black strip of duck tape along the vertical bar under the seat. Skinny tires. Three gear rings (lots of speeds. There was a black rain fender covering the back tire.

There was a mirror velcroed on to the left side of the handle bars,a light on the handle bars, a waterbottle holder and a hand pump on the diagonal bar. A red reflector light under the seat.

A local cyclist, concerned with what she feels is too much “negative police attention on cyclists,” emailed the Mayor’s office after this morning’s enforcement action and has heard a detailed response from one of his staffers:

This morning at the Multnomah County Courthouse nearly 20 cyclists showed up to support Reverend Phil Sano in his trial for an incident that happened on the World Naked Bike Ride last June.
The group included BTA Director Evan Manvel, Dan Kaufman from Crank My Chain TV and a reporter and photographer from the Oregonian.
Lieutenant Mark Kruger, 2nd in command at the Police Bureau’s Traffic Division had this to say about this morning’s enforcement action at Broadway and Flint:
“Today we worked a mission at Broadway and Flint because we have a complaint from the Water Bureau of bicyclists running the stop sign there and creating a hazard. PDOT informs us that this intersection is the third highest bike crash intersection in the city. The public can expect more enforcement of the area to come.”

Portland Police Bureau motorcycle officers are currently conducting an enforcement sting on NE Broadway Blvd. as it approaches the east side of the Broadway bridge.
