The front page of this Sunday’s Oregonian will feature a story about Portland’s bicycle industry.
The cover story and photo essay will report on how Portland has become a hotbed of activity for bike-related businesses; from frame builders and clothing designers, to major manufacturers like Chris King and Sapa Inc.
The story will also cover the PDC’s efforts to help develop this burgeoning sector of our local economy.
The article features snapshots of Andy Newlands (Strawberry Cyclesport), Natalie Ramsland (Sweetpea Bicycles), Sacha White (Vanilla Bicycles), Shaun Deller (Recyclist Apparel), and others.
Pick up a paper on Sunday or watch this site for the link (but you’ll miss all the good photos if you don’t see it in print!).

That's about as close as I'll ever come to being on the front cover of the New York Times. Be sure to check out the "graphic," which describes Portland as bike-friendly.
The NYTimes had a Portlandy day yesterday, eh?
