Announcing the Portland BikeCraft Faire!

bikecraft_flyer

You’re cordially invited to the first ever Portland BikeCraft Faire. It’s happening from 4-10PM on Wednesday, December 7th at Urban Grind Coffee (2214 NE Oregon). I’ve brought together some amazingly talented local artists that will have handmade, bike-themed arts and crafts for sale. Check out the warm, fuzzy cycling caps from Shaun Deller, wood-cut prints and postcards from Carye Bye featuring the lovable characters found on the new BikePortland.org T-shirt and much more.

We’ll also have kids activities (Urban Grind has a great kids area), a special screening of local bike movies, a Pedalpalooza ’05 slide show, drinks, snacks and music!

But wait, there’s more! I’ve teamed up with the wonderful folks at Shift to Bikes and on the same night at the same place will be the long-awaited Shift Winter Social. This is your big chance to stop lurking on the Shift email list, put faces to names and have some good, old-fashioned, face-to-face conversation (wow, what a concept!).

I hope you can join us and I look forward to seeing you at the Faire!

[If you’re feeling helpful, feel free to spread the word by printing up the flyer in either full-letter size or quarter-page size.]

Jonathan, is the event still open to others with bike-related art? I ask because my extremely artistic daughter has a lovely postcard-sized bike print…
