Job Description

Are you interested in bicycles? Do you like interacting with other cyclists? Do you have a fairly open schedule and would like to earn a little extra money?

If your answer to all of these questions is yes, consider joining Go By Bike’s sub list.

Go By Bike hosts North America’s largest bike parking lot. We have parked up to 500 bikes on our lot! Situated in front of Portland Aerial Tram’s lower terminal, we keep a secure lot on which we valet people’s bicycles for free. We also offer repair services and friendly bike chatter.

Go By Bike keeps a very tight crew of regular employees. However, for our operation to work, we rely on subs to fill in whenever one of our regular employees needs to take time off. We often have opportunities for our subs to work with us, but it is very irregular work.

Subs will primarily help valet bikes. Mechanic skills are not required, but they are appreciated. We do require our subs to be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID and everyone has to wear a mask while at Go By Bike.

Subs are paid $17 to $19 per hour, depending on their experience and mechanic skills. If you are interested in joining our sub list, contact Molly at gobybikeshop@gmail.com. We will then set up a time for you to come by and get trained.
