This is not a drill. This is it folks. Shift’s 17-day Pedalpalooza starts today… err… this morning actually. The “Sisyphean Cruller Crawl” starts bright and early at 7:00 am is the first of 12 events today.

But the big one today is the Kickoff Parade. It starts at 6:00 pm at King School (NE Grand Ave and Going St.). For a look at what to expect, check out my recap and photos of last year’s Kickoff.

Today’s full slate of rides is below the jump…

Don’t forget to grab a copy of the Portland Mercury (it’s the bike issue and they’ve got a printed ride calendar inside) and check out their slick mobile site which has a great Pedalpalooza calendar all built in.

Cruller Crawl was super fun. Kudos to the woman who climbed with us up to Pittock on her unicycle! She earned her doughnut this morning.

Don’t be afraid of the Foster Road tavern ride. If the tour makes it far enough down foster, you end up at the Greenline MAX for an easy trip back west.

My daughter and I will have to race from her piano lesson to the kickoff parade. Hopefully they won’t leave without us!
