Support from home

My dear mom. She’s supported all my crazy endeavors through the years. When I wanted to be in the NBA she bought me high-priced sneakers and sent me to basketball camps. When I wanted to be a pro bike racer she showed up to races all over the state, cheering me on through thick and thin.

And now, even though I’m all grown up, the tradition continues. Check out this license plate frame she had made…

I think it would go nicely with the new Share the Road plate.

There’s more to come from California. I’m hoping to do a tour of the new BikeStation in Long Beach, and there’s a possibility of a shop visit to renowned bike painter Joe Bell down in San Diego (he’s a friend of my stepdad’s).

Hope all’s well in Portland.

Awesome! Just the kind of thing my mom would\’ve done. You\’re lucky! When is she starting mass production? 🙂

Your mom is a trooper. I remember the countless nights of the team crashing at your place, and the great meals she used to feed us. Please pass on our best wishes. Are the crazy dolls still in the upstairs bedroom?

I hope she makes them for the little kiddie license plates to put on my trike (and folding bike). Best wishes everyone and safe biking over the holidays.

Perhaps she can find someone to \’wrap\’ the minivan in a BikePortland ad.

To chime in with everyone else, if these were available to buy, I would be proudly driving around with one.
