Three cheers for Staccato Gelato

Frequent biker at Staccato Gelato

Love it.

It’s a pleasure to point out yet another bike-friendly business in Portland; Staccato Gelato on NE 28th.

Not only do they make mouth-watering gelato and fresh donuts, but have you seen their Frequent Biker Card? Or how about their cool cycling jerseys?

The other thing I love about Staccato is how they work with the community. I’ve seen their “Freezee Rider” gelato bike in action everywhere from the 8th floor of the Portland Building (at a PDOT event) to the recent “Share the Path” event on the Esplanade.

Pedalpalooza '07 - Donut Ride

Night of the Living Donut Ride.

And to top it all off, Staccato performed valiantly as the start location of the “Night of the Living Donut” ride during last June’s Pedalpalooza. Not only did they withstand the onslaught of bikers, but they even made a special batch of fresh donuts just for us (on a night when they usually don’t have them).

We salute you Staccato Gelato! Thanks for embracing your bike-riding customers.

Staccato Gelato is the best! Many, many props to all the fine folks there who have long been supportive of the PDX Bike Community. And for those who might not know, they make the BEST DONUTS IN PORTLAND hands down! Oh, yeah, and that tasty gelato too = hmmm…

p.s. Please bring back the Guinness Donut. They were truly legendary…

Best donuts indeed! I love the ginger ones, and the Prince of Darkness makes for a good morning pick-me-up. It\’s too bad that they only make them on the weekend.

Their gelato is also primo.
