We are offering a reward for the return of this sweet bike!

On Tuesday, May 1st, a roadbike was stolen from our house.
It is very distinct and hard to mistake, so if you see a bike matching the description or know anything,
please call and let us know.

It’s a sweet bright red frame roadbike, and says “faggin” in bright yellow letters.
It has bright yellow dropped handlebars, the front tire is red and the back tire is yellow.

There is an old california bike license plate sticker, but we don’t know the number,
it has campy (campagnolo) components, toe clip peddles, two chain rings in front, either five or seven in the back,
and a rack on the back tire.

Job: Summer Bike Camp Leader, CCC

About the Position

Come spend the summer outside riding bikes with the Community Cycling Center. Join our Summer Day Camp team and lead week-long day camps throughout the summer. Work in the mornings leading games and bike-related activities and workshops (flat tire repair, bike art, route planning) and take kids on fun rides around Portland in the afternoon.

Hours: Full Time (average of 35 hours per week)
Pay: $10-$11/hour
Schedule: Mostly 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
Position Term: Seasonal, through August 31st

Just off the busy cycling routes of Hawthorne Boulevard and Ladd Circle in southeast Portland, modern-day cobbler Matt Menely and his staff at Mountain Soles are hard at work keeping cyclist’s expensive gear in tip-top shape.

At first glance, the shop may not seem like it has anything to do with bicycles. There are no bike stands, or even bike parts anywhere. Instead of pedal wrenches and truing stands, this shop works its magic with high-tech adhesives and sewing machines.
