Tonight I attended a special event at the Alberta Street Clown House, the wedding of Roadkill Racoon and Reddish Raddish (their real names are Carol Banner and Morgan Nilsen).
I have to admit, when I first heard about this I thought it was just another excuse for a party and some typical Clown House antics (mini-bike races, mud wrestling, tall-bike jousts, etc…). But it turns out this was the real deal.
The ceremony was even presided over by a real justice of the peace…the honorable Reverend Phil.
Besides their love of clowning, the bride and groom are fond of tall-bikes and they are both members of the Church of Zoobomb.
As with any Clown House event, bicycles played a key role in the festivities. Reddish is a Sprockette and the troupe performed in her honor before the ceremony. As luck would have it, rain dumped while they danced in the streets. But of course, they were unfazed and went right on doing their “Sexy On The Inside” thing in front of a very appreciative crowd.
By the time the ceremony started, the yard was packed.
Everyone seemed to be in great spirits, except for this poor guy who tried to jump the mud pit…but didn’t quite make it.
After the ceremony, the newly married couple led a bike parade to the reception on their new 1970’s Schwinn tandem.
Reddish and Roadkill are a beautiful couple and I hope they have a great future together.

Thanks for showing up, participating and writing about it. The pictures are amazing!
I got a good price for the bride, (1)55 gallon drum full of diapers. I forgot that I’m already up to my eyeballs in diapers, I should have just asked for a pony.

Unfortunately there are a lot of links that don’t work in these older stories because they point to an outdated plugin we used to use. I hope to clean this all up some day.
