Good Sport Promotion, the folks behind Reach the Beach, the downtown Twilight Criterium, Mt. Bike Oregon and other local bike events have announced their new Hottest Day of the Year Ride for August 6th.
The ride follows in the footsteps of the successful Worst Day of the Year Ride which was held last February and had over 1500 participants.
The Hottest Day of the Year ride will feature a 15 mile, flat and scenic urban loop with the best part coming at the end. Organizer Ayleen Crotty promisies “the city’s largest water fight and make-your-own sundaes at the finish line.”

Wow what a beautiful website! And it sounds like SUCH fun.
Wasn’t the hottest day a few days ago? 🙂
If it bears any ironic resemblance to the Worst Day of the Year ride, this one will feature freezing rain and lightning.
😛
Worst Day of the Year ride is a benefit for the Community Cycling Center, and Good Sport helped promote it…. Does this ride raise funds for any organization?
m,
Yes, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the CCC.
I hope they are set up for a cast of thousands, if the WDotY ride is anything to go by.
