GravelTech New Year’s Day Poker Ride
Sunday, January 1, 3:00 pm
Eastside Esplanade just north of the Hawthorne Bridge
After the last poker ride went so well, GravelTech is pleased to announce the New Year’s Day Poker Ride. This is a group ride/pub crawl stopping at four bars. Riders are dealt a card at each stop along the way. We’re changing the rules a little to mix things up. The basic idea is that by the last stop you’ll have to find another rider with a hand that compliments yours, combine cards, and make the best hand possible. The pair with the best hand wins the pot. The buy-in is $3. For that you’ll receive one playing card, one can of cheap beer, and one spoke card.Contact: Andrew Morton, drewish@katherinehouse.com

my link, she’s a broken!
[pretend i said that in a comical fake Italian accent, then laugh]
i believe i will be sacrificing sleep(i work from 11:45 new years eve to 10:15 new years’ day, and repeat it that night)to go to the poker ride. The last one sounded like a lot of fun.
it’ll be 10x more fun when you’re that sleep deprived. you won’t even need to buy beers 😉
Wish I could go, but then again, I like to get muddy in the park. I stil say you should have the ride come through the park at 20th and Belmont.
Maybe give up a card if they play a game of polo?
sorry ’bout the link Andrew…should work now.
