The Cross Crusade might be over but that’s not the only cross series in town. Veloshop kicked off the season back in September and they’ll bring it to an official close this Sunday (Dec. 18th) at Blue Lake Park.
This is the last of three Veloshop races this year and they’ve all been great successes due to the hard work and panache of Molly Cameron and her Veloshop groupies teammates.
I was at the first race out in Hood River (report and photos) and the second race at PIR (report and photos).
I would highly recommend a ride out to Blue Lake to partake in the festivities. Whether you’re watching or riding, Blue Lake is just a few miles outside of Portland and is easily accessible via Marine Drive.

You have an extra ‘L’ in the link to Molly’s web site, so it isn’t working.
Groupies? That’s hilarious.
He never misses an opportunity to mention veloshop or Molly.
Groupies? That’s not hilarious. That’s lame.
The folks who ride on the team are a great bunch of people and get results that show that they are a great bunch of racers as well.
I swear. I’m not paying him a cent 😉
I admit it, I’m guilty. I mention Molly and her shop a lot. Not sure why…other than I think it’s a cool shop and I like what she’s doing. She puts on races, has a blog, supports a very cool team (“groupies” was meant in the best way!), races on a national level…and keeps her shop going all at the same time.
If she stops being interesting and active, I’ll stop mentioning her…but I doubt that will happen ;-).
I would prefer “disciples”. Thanks.
There’s also jokes about the exponential, vast expansion of the Veloshop team…
And although I laughed, I agree with Mike: Molly has a few groupies. Everyone else races.
