Save great rides: Drop off your ballot today

Just a final reminder to vote yes on Measure 49. This is our chance to save Oregon and save open spaces (that just so happen to be great places to ride a bike.)
Ballots are due by 8:00pm tonight so the mail is no use. You’ll have to take your ballot to an official drop-off location.

Not at the library, but I believe you can get one at your county's elections office.

Like Bicycledave said, you can go to the county office to fill out a new registration card and get a ballot on the spot. You'll need your current Oregon driver's license (or ID card, presumably) and you have to have been registered in Oregon previously. If you've voted or have received a ballt in Oregon before, you can still vote in this election.
I was just at the Multnomah county office to drop off some ballots from my coworkers. They had plenty of staff on hand to take care of all the last-minute voters.
Go do it! You have until 8 pm! And thanks for voting!

You can forward it to someone you know who needs to be browbeat (in a nice way) into voting yes on 49. :)

I asked quite a few people today - "Did you vote?"

M49 was approved. That makes for some relief from development pressure, but don't rest too easily. Everyone that cares about Oregon lands and livability in Oregon better continue preparing themselves to understand and address issues related to land use and land ownership rights that will continue to assert themselves with ever greater pressure than has been seen to date.
Property owners that believe they've been getting the short end of the stick as a result of Oregon land use protection measures are going to come back fighting like a nest of angry hornets. In fact, I think they have at least a little justification for that anger. Oregon needs a much more coherent land use policy than it has now, one that encompasses future growth compatibly with the quality of life unique to Oregon, highly valued by those that reside here.
