The Cities of Portland and Milwaukie, Metro, and local neighborhoods have announced plans to celebrate the completion of the Three Bridges on the Springwater Corridor Trail

The $5 million project, that created three new bicycle and pedestrian bridges connecting southeast Portland to Milwaukie, got its official dedication and ribbon-cutting last October. That event drew politicians and advocates including Portland Mayor Tom Potter, Milwaukie Mayor Jim Bernard, Metro councilor Rex Burkholder, and Congressman Earl Blumenauer.

Now the public is invited to a party on the trail that will include activities at four stops along the route. On Saturday, May 19th, from 9am-1pm, there will be activities at the following four locations:

  • SE 19th Avenue and Ochoco (3 Bridges)
  • SE 28th Avenue and Sherrett
  • Tideman Johnson Natural Area
  • SE 45th Avenue and Johnson Creek Blvd

Along with interactive activities, attendees will be encouraged to explore the new Tideman Johnson Natural Area path loop and test ride Trek Lime bicycles.

Rumor is correct. The neighborhood association was pretty geeked about that. Well, at least some of them were - the others were like, huh? A mini-bike performance what?

May the Sprockettes find hundreds of new rabid fans.

    Hi,

I was on the walk and a booth was selling Milwaukie T-Shirts. I was going to buy one but they left before I got back from the trail. Can you tell me where I can purchase one or who was the booth that was selling them?

    Rita
