A message in the Zoobomb Forums spells out some new TriMet regulations for bringing bikes on MAX trains that Zoobombers worry could crimp their style.
Handsome Dave writes,
“A TriMet employee hand delivered us one copy of a 3-page letter of new rules this last Sunday…”
Here are key excerpts of the letter (full text here):

I just came across this photo in my archives*. I remember taking it as I rode across the Broadway Bridge on an otherwise drab November day:
The National Bike Summit is just five weeks away.
The Summit is a four-day, annual event in Washington D.C. that brings together America’s bike leaders to network, learn, and most importantly, to ask members of Congress to consider bicycles in their decisions.
Bicycle industry market research firm, Boulder Sports Research has announced their 2007 Top 100 Bike Shops.
Out of 5100 shops nationwide, Portland’s very own River City Bicycles and Bike Gallery were named to the list.
Back in November, I got an email from City of Salem project coordinator David Skilton. He wanted to share news that they’re converting an old railroad bridge on the Willamette to a bicycle and pedestrian-only crossing.
The Salem project sounds exciting. It’s got federal funding, is likely to get $1 million from ODOT Transportation Enhancement funds, and it just received its first private grant (from the Cycle Oregon Fund no less).
