From the archives: You go girl!

I just came across this photo in my archives*. I remember taking it as I rode across the Broadway Bridge on an otherwise drab November day:

[Looking East across the Willamette
on the Broadway Bridge, 11/30/06.]

This kind of spirit is what I love about Portland.

[*I’ve amassed tens of thousands of photos of Portland’s bike scene (5,000 of the best are posted online). I’ll make “From the archives” a regular feature from now on.]

Hey Jonathan,

Thanks for posting these! I’m a bit of a photographaholic and love looking through these. I’m one of those weird ones who actually enjoys it when the inlaws come over to show us the pics from their vacation! 🙂

What is your policy about reuse of your photos? I usually post pics of interest on my myspace page. Can I use some of them if I make sure to give credit to the author? I love showing off Portland to friends and family.

hi Severt,

my policy is if you are making money from the photos or using them for commercial purposes, you must contact me first (so maybe I can make some too 😉 ).

otherwise you’re free to use the photos as long as you give proper credit (a link to this site is cool).

I’ve had people pay me for photos and I’ve given many of them away for use by non-profits and others (like the Willy Week when they are promoting a bike event).

thanks for asking!
