Job Description
We are looking for a self-starter to lead our field efforts in launching and developing sales for our revolutionary new product, the OTTO Tuning System, http://ottodesignworks.com. The position will be responsible for building and supporting both distribution and user sales through field events, demonstration and user group feedback management. The ideal candidate has experience, passion and understanding of the cycling & active sports industries. The candidate must have high initiative and willing to flex with user & business needs; is capable & willing to travel; and is technically competent in product demonstration. The position will work in partnership with the OTTO team to help build a new Brand, launch products and create a sustainable business. OTTO DesignWorks is based in Wilsonville, OR at DWFritz Automation, Inc.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead event set-up, demonstration, support for dealers, media/blogs, rides/races and trade shows
• Conduct UX marketing with users to gain testimonial and support across key user groups, such pro mechanics, elite racers, recreationists, and technologists
• Support distributor/dealer technical and event needs
• Lead and support user feedback for product development roadmap
Required Skills, Education & Experience
• 3+ years within cycling/lifestyle/active sports industry in some sales/customer service capacity
• Strong technical acumen such that person can demonstrate technology, explain features, troubleshooting and diagnose failures of phone/camera and bicycle systems
• Passionate, proactive, self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit
• Capable of building relationships and direct selling at events
• Ability to obtain data, listen, observe and articulate user needs and/or business pivot requirements
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including Office platform use
• Demonstrated ability to meet schedules and reliably manage multiple activities in parallel
• Ability to work in a team environment
• BS/BA degree strongly desired
• Experience in new business up or product line launch is a strong plus
Job Conditions/Notes
Working conditions include occasional extended hours in specific periods to service customers, travel and coordinate meetings or events. Position will allow for contract, flexible hours or work time at home office during early phases. Position can grow with business. Position compensation/structure TBD with candidate.
