Spiders (and Batman) on Klickitat

The City has been working on the new bike boulevard/neighborhood greenway on NE Klickitat Street. Readers Esther and Timo sent in the photos below of the brand new speed bumps and an interesting decoration on one of them. Does anyone know what the spider signifies? (There’s also a Batman symbol on the same street).

Knowing there’s a Batman logo down on 30th makes me think this looks an awful lot like ol’ Spidey’s mascot. 🙂 I was wondering if the tradition of decorating bike lane symbols is now being extended to neighborhood greenways!

It may be “graffiti”, but I like it! I’m still a big fan of the Mario Kart ones on Williams. It’s something you’d never notice if you were driving.

There is also a man in a cape logo as well (looks like a running man or the old D.R.I logo (with a cape) which I assume signifies Superman, though I don’t know why they didn’t just use the “S”.
